3D container & trailer loading calculator

Know it fits before it ships.

Use Super Load Calculator to plan mixed-size rectangular cargo in containers and trailers. Review proposed equipment, a 3D cargo arrangement, numbered loading instructions and a PDF report before the loading team starts work.

Free 30-day trial with your company email — no card required. Trial plans allow up to 50 pieces per calculation, and trial reports carry the trial mark.

How it works

Six steps, in the order you actually do them. Choose one to see it in the product.

Sea plans containers in TEU; road plans trailers in loading metres. Choose once, and the equipment, the costs and the report follow.

What you get

What it will do

Four things it does on every plan, at sea or on the road.

  • It proposes equipment for the load.

Select a container or trailer, or use automatic selection to compare allowed equipment combinations. Review the proposed allocation and any unplaced cargo. Planning costs are not live freight quotes, bookings or a guarantee of the lowest possible cost.

  • It keeps to the rules of every piece.

Stackable or not, the weight a lid can carry, floor only, this way up, load first. Every placement is checked against them — and against door height and payload — before it is accepted.

  • It gives the warehouse the loading order.

Numbered instructions, one per piece: what goes where, how far from the back wall, and the running weight. No piece is ever placed before the pieces holding it up.

  • It hands over a report in seconds.

A PDF with the cargo manifest, a drawing of every unit, the loading sequence and the utilisation figures, with the stacking rule they were held to printed beside them.

Straight answers

What it will not do

Worth saying plainly, because the answer matters more than the pitch.

  • It does not know your cargo.

It plans from the dimensions and weights you enter. If the crate is 5 cm wider than the drawing says, so is the plan — and the plan will be wrong.

  • It is not a lashing or securing calculation.

It tells you what fits and in what order. It does not tell you how to restrain it, and it is not a substitute for the securing regulations that apply to your lane.

  • It does not pretend everything fits.

When a piece will not go, it says which piece and why — too tall, too heavy, nothing solid to stand on, will not pass the door.

  • It does not claim to be optimal.

It searches hard and it is deterministic — the same cargo gives the same answer every time — but "the best possible packing" is a claim nobody can honestly make, and we do not make it.

Questions people ask first

If yours is not here, write to us and it will be.

Is there a free container loading calculator trial?

Yes. Create an account with your company email for a free 30-day trial, with no payment card required and up to 50 pieces per calculation. Trial reports and drawings carry a trial mark. This is a time-limited trial, not unrestricted permanent free access. Company branding is planned for paid subscriptions; pricing and availability have not been announced.

What equipment does it know about?

Standard sea containers — 20 ft and 40 ft dry, 40 ft and 45 ft high cube, reefers and open tops — and European trailers and rigid trucks, including mega trailers. You can also enter custom equipment by its internal dimensions, door opening and payload.

How does automatic container selection work?

Automatic mode compares allowed equipment combinations against your entered cargo and handling rules, then proposes an allocation. You can restrict the equipment choices to those available for your shipment. Confirm the actual equipment, payload and loading conditions; the result is not a booking, a live freight quote or a guarantee of globally optimal packing.

Can I trust the utilisation figure?

It is the real volume of the cargo against the real interior volume, after any shrink allowance you set. What makes it comparable is the stacking rule it was held to, which is printed on every report — a utilisation number quoted without that rule does not mean very much.

Is my cargo data private?

Each customer works in their own workspace, isolated from every other. Nothing you enter is used to train anything, and no analytics or session recording runs inside a signed-in workspace.

Does it calculate weight distribution or cargo securing?

The planner uses entered cargo weights and equipment payload limits, but does not calculate axle loads, centre of gravity or a balanced weight-distribution plan. It does not calculate cargo securing or lashing. Review the proposed placement and loading sequence, then arrange the separate weight-distribution and securing checks needed for your shipment.

Try it with your next shipment

Take a real job, type in the cargo, and see whether the answer matches what your planner would have done. That is the only test that counts.
